Distinctive Memorial Service / Celebration Of Life

Funerals are an important part of the grieving process. A funeral causes people to confront the loss of a loved one, and face a difficult reality. More importantly it allows people a chance to honour their loved one’s life. Many experts agree that sharing grief can indeed help reduce it. However, some people don’t want the “fuss” of a full funeral service. This is why flexible Memorial Service options are important.

This Memorial Reception / Celebration Of Life Service is for families who need something a little out of the ordinary. The family and community support which a funeral provides allows people to share feelings and memories of a departed loved one. Trying to ignore death often leads to an extended period of difficult grief. Although heart wrenching, funerals do indeed assist the process of healing after loss.

Crane Funerals are glad to offer this Memorial Celebration option. If your loved one was adamant that they didn’t want the fuss of a funeral, this allows you to respect their wishes, while giving you the chance to grieve their loss with family and friends. This option allows for an unattended (no mourners), Burial or Cremation, before (or after), the Memorial Service takes place.

memorial serviceWe will organise a Venue and catering for you to gather as a group to mourn - and/or celebrate - your loved ones life. If you would like this Celebration to be held at your home, we can organise a caterer to provide food and serving staff there as well. The time of day is entirely up to you and your family’s circumstances. Any time during the day is fine, or maybe an evening / dinner event? You can even use this service if you would like to arrange a private cremation, combined with a Celebration Of Life Ceremony when you are scattering your loved one’s cremated remains. Possibilities abound and we are happy for you to discuss your ideas with us.

We organise a Celebrant or Minister to offer a Service of Remembrance to suit your families unique requirements. More relaxed services such as these - while being a little out of the “norm” - can be a viable option for families who find themselves torn between a loved one’s wishes, and their own desires to farewell them in a suitable and dignified fashion. Our ever present 100% Service Satisfaction Guarantee, and our No Hidden Fee Guarantee are included in this Service offering as well.

This service is an option for those selective families who need a Funeral Director, not a Funeral Parlour. If you are in a position whereby you do not want the coffin or even a cremation urn present at the service, this could be just the style of Service you are looking for.
